adding volvo synchro ability

i had no idea this form even existed... it was by chance i was checking for some updates on the software and it said the software hasn't been updated in a while , so i clicked the banner and it directed me here!
anyway i looked through some of the announcements , and figured that i might aswell ask maybe even adding Volvo synchronisation ability it would be very valuable to the software to be able to do this function as it is much needed still.
is it still a possibly that the project is being shelved / stopped?

I might be able to help with that. , when you refer too the firmware of the ecu. I do have multiple dumps of ecu dumps which consist of eeprom & flash data , whatever is within the ecu if it's internal flash or external flash. Encase of a later requirement for the job to Need cloning for one reason or another.

Quote from Code Wizard on 2023-03-28, 12:49Are you sure that it is so in demand and will be worth the time spent? For example, to restore the Suzuki algorithm for which I have been asking for data for the second year, it will take me from one hour to a week. But it can take months to disassemble the firmware of the Volvo ECU, deal with the memory map, search for and reverse the necessary functions. Perhaps there is an easier solution to sync via OBD interface?

Or reverse engineering the old synchro software? It might hold the info required? Would that be easier ?

unfortunailty i don't know what its written in. my reverse engineering skills are not the best. that being said i have attempted to pass some of the software through IDApro , which came back with very little , mostly scrambled garbage.
